I ordered my food tonight at the Mt. Holly-Huntersville location to go. This is my first experience with Red Bowl and I can say it will be my last! I ordered the Royal Bowl which is supposed to have beef, chicken, shrimp, scallops, and crab with vegetables and fried rice. I got a bowl with lots of onions and vegetables, but my dish only came with the beef. NO OTHER MEATS!!! Not even an accidental placement of any other meat. I asked several times what came in the bowl before I ordered it and to only get beef, “which I don’t eat”, is a big let down. I tried calling them but of course their phones are switched to after hours mode and the voicemail came on. To pay $30 for 2 to go orders and not get what you ordered is seriously disappointing and maddening. I’m so upset as it’s Sunday and most good restaurants are closed now. So disappointed!!!

Live in the area and have been going to the Red Bowl on MtHolly road for 4 years, eating there about once a month. Always a great place with great food. Tonight, our waitress was Autumn. She was great. She got our orders quickly, was very friendly and cheerful. She even sang "happy birthday" to my daughter by herself. I hope the tip we left her was sufficient because she made a wonderful impression.Keep up the great food, decent prices, and kind service. Chadwick Vaught.

Hey folks. My name is Greg Haskell. I'm the Carolina area rep for a new business called GiftCaddies. We're a company dedicated to increasing the revenue stream of small local businesses through a revolutionary app that changes the way people send a receive gifts. Let's say you notice on facebook that your good friend just checked in at Red Bowl and he's celebrating his birthday. You want to show him you care but you're in Los Angeles and he's here in Charlotte. You could buy your friend his favorite drink or buy him dinner with a couple swipes of your finger on your smartphone, in under 2 minutes, if Red Bowl were on the GiftCaddies app. He'd receive a notification on his phone and redeem that gift right then and there.Red Bowl just got revenue from Los Angeles and your friend just got a thoughtful gift showing you care instead of a text that simply says "Happy Birthday." Due to brand recognition, you'll probably go there while you're in town next. You've already browsed the menu on the app.Check out our website at giftcaddies.com and the free GiftCaddies app at the AppStore.Feel free to call me if you have any questions or if you're ready to get on the app. We're growing rapidly. The app is up and running in Richmond and Virginia Beach and people are loving it. Charlotte is the next market, opening very soon, and we're excited. We've teamed up with Crown Imports also, which comes with a few perks. I'll look forward to talking with you.Greg HaskellGiftCaddiesDistrict Sales Manager919-915-1719

I will never come back to the red bowl on mt.holly Huntersville road again. Waited 30 minutes just to get some togo order. The 30 minute wait was not the reason why I am mad the reason is that there were about 5 people that order after me and all got their food with in 10 minutes And I have to wait 30 minute for my order. It wasn't a big order just 3 togo order. The host or manager didn't even ask what I was waiting for until I ask about my order. This is very bad customer service. I has been eating with you guy for years now and the food is good but the bad customer service leave me with a bitter taste for you guy now. You just lost me, my family, and all my friend as a custmers.Bobby

We go once or twice every couple of months. The food quality is pretty consistent and what you would expect for a place like this. I have never gotten a dish that i was disappointed about. The Singapore street noodles are great and the egg drop soup is fantastic. We can get out with a family of 3 1/2 and pay less then $30. A+ in my book!

More buffet quality, than cooked to order. I've never been impressed. Find yourself a family owned "New York Style Chinese" restaurant and you'll be much happier. If you're looking for a half step above mall food court chinese, then this is your place. But who wants that kind of experience? Not I.

Been here many, many times. Liked it a lot when they first opened. Good sushi, but they have become very inconsistent with the rest of the dishes on the menu. It's gotten to where we get a good meal only about 30 to 40% of the time and now usually leave disappointed. Money is best spent elsewhere.

Prices were reasonable, but the food not that impressive.Sushi roll didn't have much fish in it, and the bourbon chicken was only ok, and would have better if had more veggies, like broccoli, etc.It still gets 3 stars because for a cheap chain one doesn't have high expectations.

I love this place for their sushi. I usually have the Crunchy Roll, Red Bowl, and the Spider Roll. The sushi tastes fresh and some of the best I've ever had. Additionally, sushi is offered at a special price ($3.99) on Wednesdays! The dining area is warm, cozy, and offers a nice environment to conversate with friends and loved ones. I really enjoy eating here and always ask for Krystal as my waitress. She is overly eager to please and my tips always reflect her service. The only drawback about this place is that it can get busy and you may wait a few moments longer to be seated at times. Other than that, excellent bistro!

I genuinely like Red Bowl. Everytime I go to eat there my food is fantastic. I always get a bento box with california roll, mongolian beef, miso soup, and brown rice. The service is always a little slow but most of the waitstaff is really nice. Last night however I ordered takeout. I ordered the mongolian beef, my favorite, and the curry shrimp, my moms favorite. When I got home I realized my mongolian beef didnt even LOOK like it did when I dined in. Not saucy and it didnt have as much flavor. My mom said that her curry shrimp was normally not as runny as it was either. So I guess this place is PERFECT for dine in up don't order to go because they dont seem to care as much about the food then!

We had a good lunch here today. My biggest disappointment was the little pepper icon that let you know if a meal is supposed to be hot/spicy really let me down. My Red Curry Chicken was delicious, but a pretty mildly spiced curry sauce. It had zucchini and probably a whole onion worth of onion. No complaints at $5 with a tea, spring roll and fried rice. This was our first trip here and seems like a decent lunch stop if you're planning on getting groceries at Harris Teeter or the Walmart and don't want to shop on an empty stomach.Their menu had plenty of choices that peaked our interest, but i'm guessing the $5 General Tso's is next on my list. If we do come back for dinner, i'll finally get to use that coupon in the Entertainment book.
